90-Ball Vs 75-Ball Bingo
In the past, the term bingo in the UK was synonymous with the 90-Ball version of the game. In fact, when someone said bingo few decades ago, everybody automatically assumed that they’re talking of the 90-Ball bingo.
75-Ball bingo is the variant that is dominant in the United States. However, soon after the first online bingo sites were launched, American bingo gained popularity in the UK. 90-Ball bingo was still the preferred option for most players, but those who wanted to experience something new had the chance to play 75-Ball bingo as well.

90-Ball Bingo
As we said, this is the British version of bingo. So, if you’re from the UK and you’re familiar with the concept of bingo, you’ve probably played 90-Ball bingo.
As the name clearly indicates, there are 90 balls and the caller calls 15 numbers in total. There are three possible winning combinations – one line, two lines and a full house – sometimes also called bingo.
One 90-Ball bingo card includes six tickets and each of them has three rows with five numbers in a row. Each of the 90 numbers appears only once on a card, but the combinations per ticket vary.
In conventional bingo, players mark each number as it is called by the caller. But if you’re playing online bingo you won’t have to mark each number as it’s drawn, the software can do that automatically.
If you get all five numbers across a row, then you’ve won one line, if you get ten numbers that appear on two lines of the same ticket you’ve won two lines, whereas if you get all 15 numbers on a ticket, you’ve won full house or bingo and this is the highest prize in 90-Ball bingo.
75-Ball Bingo
75-Ball bingo is played on a five by five grid, where a total of 24 numbers of all numbers from 1 to 75 appear on a single bingo card. Each of the five columns is assigned a letter from the word ‘BINGO’, so the first one is B, the second I, the third N, and then we have G and O. Numbers from one to 15 can appear on the first column, numbers from 16 to 30 on the second, the third one displays numbers from 31 to 45 with one blank space in the middle. The fourth column includes numbers from 46 to 60 and the final fifth column contains five numbers from 61 to 75.
Again, when you’re playing online, you won’t have to manually mark each number, you can choose to have the software do that for you. In many cases, the last several numbers that are drawn are displayed somewhere on the screen.
